I have graduated with a Business Administration degree from a German university. I had worked in a Finance department but lacked knowledge when it came to programming languages and found them necessary. I thought they would not only help me in my future career but also when it comes to writing my Masters thesis(for academic purposes, doing research, etc.)
I liked that your course was longer than the rest. I had read that most of the other bootcamps really rush through the material and are often understaffed.
My mentors were Killian and Muayad. We had daily stand ups and check outs. They were always available when I had questions and needed guidance with understanding the assignments. Within my cohort, I really liked the dynamic we had with the rest. I felt comfortable asking my cohort for questions and we often discussed the tasks together and shared what we are planning to do/how each of us understand the task.
I found the experience quite fulfilling. The pace was good. I didn't feel overwhelmed with the amount of tasks we we assigned. The schedule was realistic. When it comes to what I enjoyed the most - I really liked the presentations/the storytelling aspect. As a low for myself can think of some instances where I was lacking motivation to keep working on the projects but those were generally periods pd 1-2 days at a time. Generally by the end of the week my motivation always returned.
After the course, I've started my Masters in Business with Finance at University of Essex Online, I've gotten my driver's license and am currently applying for jobs that will involve skills I've acquired during the bootcamp. I'd love to use SQL knowledge at the new job, since I enjoyed the language the most.
